Will I need anything else to join proto-col in business?

Yes. You will need Public and Product Liability Insurance. We have a specially designed package at a cost of £25 per year which will cover you for all your needs. It even protects your business kit if it gets stolen. We also advise you to set up a separate bank account to manage your business finances. Barclays Bank are supporting proto-col by offering you fantastic business banking opportunities with your own business manager at the end of the phone.

Do I have to enrol people into my business?

No, it's completely down to you. Many of our consultants are happy earning an extra income from selling our products to their friends and family and never enrol anyone into their business. Enrolling people into your business is optional and we will support you whatever you decide to do with your business.

What training will I get?

proto-col is committed to providing you with extensive training and product knowledge. When you join proto-col you will be given our consultant training manual with your registration kit which we recommend you read before you sell any of the products. We also organise national training events which are delivered by qualified trainers. These include product training, facial and mineral cosmetics demonstrations, business skills and experts from the world of health and beauty, sport and business. As you progress in your business you can choose to attend specific training events in nutrition, advanced business and motivational skills, skin care and mineral make up techniques. We are launching a training DVD to help you with your product knowledge and business ideas.

Isn't this Pyramid Sales?

No. Pyramid Sales is a term used to describe a scheme where people are encouraged to invest money in the belief that they will gain substantial monetary rewards by doing nothing, other than encouraging new people to invest their money into the scheme. It is illegal in the UK and normally doesn't involve products. If you are ever approached about this type of scheme you should contact your local trading authorities.

Is there an Independent Trade Association in the UK for direct selling?

Yes. The Direct Selling Association is the recognised trade association for the direct selling industry. The DSA website www.dsa.org.uk is a useful source of advice for anyone thinking of joining proto-col or a similar company.
